Saturday, August 1, 2015 was the 10th Annual Tour de Lovell,
a fundraising bicycle event for the Lovell Recreation Department. Six hams from the White Mountain Amateur Radio Club provided radio safety communications for the second year. The course started and ended at the New Suncook School and was a scenic 21.3-mile bike ride through Lovell taking in vistas of the White Mountains. In addition, there was a 4 mile Kid's Tour for ages 14 and under, for which we ran sweep. The Cranmore repeater is spotty in this area so we used a simplex frequency, occasionally relying on relays to get traffic passed from the turn around point near the Stoneham line on Rt 5 to net control located at the school. It was a good event, everyone did a good job and we had a chance to practice old and new skills,
