Dave Dunham KB1OKJ and Dave Hobbs N1CCB provided radio safety communications for the 5 school invitational event held Thursday, 24 September at Molly Ockett Middle School in Fryeburg Maine. For this 2.1 mile course they tracked the last runners and the leaders of the race as they went by the hams' locations. Also, sweep to finish line after the last runner passes. KB1OKJ reported "We improved over last year with Dave (N1CCB) calling me at the halfway point with the description of the last runners as they passed by him." The course is almost a figure 8 with finish line and net control at intersection and turnaround checkpoint at the 1 mile mark (out in the woods).
